Fresh off a brilliant performance at the Eastbay South Regional on Nov. 27, Denmark's Ethan Ashley claimed another big reward.

The Georgia Class 7A state champion notched his first National Boys Performer of the Week presented by New Balance award, registering just over 35-percent of the vote.

Ashley managed to slip past second-place Daniel Appleford of Newbury Park, who finished in second with 30-percent of the tallie.

Ashley clocked a career best time of 15:00.31 at the South Regional to win the overall title and book his ticket to the Eastbay Cross Country Championships on Dec. 11 in San Diego.

A big congrats goes out to Ashley and all the other nominees.

Now let's move on to Week 17 of the NPOTW XC poll. This will be our second-to-last vote of the 2021 calendar year.
