Gary Martin had a steller Mile performance a few weeks ago at the John Hay Distance Festival.

The Archbishop Wood (PA) junior ran a new US No. 2 time in the mile clocking a 4:03.53. His winning time was not only the new US No. 2 mark but also set a new Pennslvyina State 1600m and Mile record. He broke Ken Lowry's previous record of 4:05.24, which is 39-year-old and has stood since 1982.

His performance also earned him the win for the week 12 National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance, accumulating just over 200 votes and 50% of total vote allies overall.

He's now the second male athlete to win New Balance's swag giveaway: A new pair of shoes

A big congrats to Gary on the State Record and new pair of kicks!

Now let's move on to Week 13 of the outdoor National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance poll.

Vote for whom you think should win this week's national honor following this most recent week of action. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll. Better yet, each boy and girl winner will win a pair of New Balance shoes

We are requesting winners (or their parents or coaches) from each week to email Cory Mull at cory.mull@flosports.tv and Olivia Ekpone at olivia.ekpone@flosports.tv to notify us of your contact.

Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. For reference, check our Top 25 Outdoor Performances of the Week. You can also vote in our NPOTW presented by New Balance girls poll.
