Will Pinson finished off his high school cross country season on Nov. 6 with the best of moments: An individual state Class 7A championship in Alabama and a team title for Huntsville, his fourth straight as a member of the team.

Then on Friday, he won the National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance poll.

An insane week.

Pinson generated over 1,500 votes and roughly 34-percent of the vote, eclipsing second-place William Zegarski of Little Miami, who accumulated over 30-percent of the tallies and roughly 1,350 votes after his big OHSAA Division I state championship.

A big congrats goes out to those two young men, and to the rest of the nominees.

Pinson won his first overall AHSAA Class 7A title on Saturday in Oakville, running a career best time of 15:13.61 for 5K. It was his third straight top 10 performance, his fourth straight top 15 effort and the official end to his cross country career as a Huntsville athlete.

Now let's move on to Week 14 of the NPOTW XC poll.

Make sure you vote for whom you think should win this week's honor. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll. Better yet, each boy and girl winner will win a pair of New Balance shoes.

We are requesting winners (or their parents or coaches) from each week to email Cory Mull at cory.mull@flosports.tv and Olivia Ekpone at olivia.ekpone@flosports.tv to notify us of your contact.

For NPOTW winners dating all the way back to July 12, we haven't forgotten about you! We have kept track of your information and will email you once the New Balance order goes out. Stay tuned!

Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. You can also vote in our National Girls Performer of the Week poll.
