Zack Truitt's career run led to a first-time honor this past week.

The Landmark Christian (GA) standout and Georgia Tech recruit scored a Week 6 win for National Performer of the Week following his big-time effort in the 1,600m, where he logged a US No. 3 performance of 4:06.69.

Truitt clocked his first sub-4:10 time and clubbed seven seconds off his previous best en route to an impressive victory over Kamari Miller.

The Georgia athlete earned over 71-percent of all votes, securing over 1,000 tallies.

A big congrats goes out to Truitt -- and all the other nominees -- on another successful week of voting.

Now let's move on to Week 6. We'll have seven candidates in this week's poll. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
