Nick Plant's past few weeks have been electric.

Prior to winning his first OHSAA Division I state title in the 800m this week in Hilliard, the Canfield (OH) High School junior dropped two seconds off his half-mile PR en route to a then-career best time of 1:50.59 at the Division I Region 1 Championships.

Plant would go on to rule Week 11 of the National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance, accumulating just over 1,000 votes and nearly 80-percent of the tallies overall.

Better yet, he became the first male recipient of New Balance's swag giveaway: A new pair of shoes

Plant wasn't finished though. He responded this week with a US No. 3 performance of 1:49.78 at the state championships, becoming the third athlete and the first junior in the United States to go under 1:50 for 800m.

A big congrats goes out to Nick on the honor!

Now let's move on to Week 12 of the outdoor National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance poll.

Vote for whom you think should win this week's national honor following this most recent week of action. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll. Better yet, each boy and girl winner will win a pair of New Balance shoes

We are requesting winners (or their parents or coaches) from each week to email Cory Mull at cory.mull@flosports.tv and Olivia Ekpone at olivia.ekpone@flosports.tv to notify us of your contact.

Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. For reference, check our Top 25 Outdoor Performances of the Week. You can also vote in our NPOTW presented by New Balance girls poll.
