One of Illinois' top runners took top prize over Week 9 of the National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance poll.

Herscher's (IL) Drew Rogers secured the victory with just over 40-percent of the vote and 1,025 tallies, becoming the first NPOTW winner from Illinois since Brandon Battle over the outdoor season.

Rogers has been untouchable thus far this fall season, winning seven straight seven races. His victory at the Naperville Twilight Invite on Oct. 6 was subject of his selection in the Week 9 poll, and it covered his season-best 3-mile run of 14:48.00.

A big congrats goes out to Drew on the honor.

Now let's move on to Week 10 of the NPOTW XC poll.

Make sure you vote for whom you think should win this week's honor. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll. Better yet, each boy and girl winner will win a pair of New Balance shoes.

We are requesting winners (or their parents or coaches) from each week to email Cory Mull at cory.mull@flosports.tv and Olivia Ekpone at olivia.ekpone@flosports.tv to notify us of your contact.

Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. You can also vote in our National Girls Performer of the Week poll.
