Analysis: Six returners are back from the team that finished second to Union Catholic at the NJSIAA Group Championships and the NJSIAA Meet of Champions a year ago. Experience, therefore, will be a big strength this season. Rising junior Jack Falkowski was a top 10 finisher at the non-public A group championships, along with incoming senior Nicholas Sullivan and junior Alex Kemp. That threesome will be critical for CBA's future down the line.
And if nothing else, pack running will continue to be a staple for the Colts, who clocked spreads of 54- and 35- seconds at their two season-ending meets.
Biggest Question: Can CBA develop a front-runner to compete for wins?
This isn't exactly a requirement for the overall success of CBA in 2022, but it certainly would help the team's chances at some of the season's more important meets. The lower the point total for their No. 1, the better CBA will fare in large fields.

It might seem simple, but what this means is that, in absence of a truly front-line scorer, what CBA will need at the state- and regional-levels -- to overcome teams like Union Catholic and the like -- will be progressive performances from the team's four five, six and seven runners. If one athlete has an off day, that next one will have to come up big. That's when pack running truly hits its stride.
