No. 10: Center Grove

Analysis: With Ty Garrett in the mix, along with Griffin Hennessy and Parker Mimbela -- the latter two finished among the top 25 places at state -- this team has true star power. Garrett has gone under 15 minutes for 5K on grass, while both Mimbela and Hennessy have run under 15:40. Projected No. 4 and No. 5, Kyle Montgomery and Gavin Rockwell, will have to shore up the lineup in larger races, though both are capable scorers. 

With six runners back in 2022, including Garrett's transfer from Valor Christian, Center Grove has a shot at competing with Carmel (IN) at the highest levels in Indiana. Beyond that, we'll find out just how this team gels in the early months. 

Biggest Question: Talent doesn't always get the job done. Can Center Grove will its way to a state title and find the right chemistry? 

Fitting into a team isn't easy. But what's helping the inclusion of Ty Garrett at Center Grove this year is that he spent his freshman year at the school, so the thought is that he won't need to acclimate all that much. Plus, Garrett has often let his running do the talking: He should be among Indiana's top runners in 2022.
