Analysis: Todd came across as unassuming last year. Then he finished sixth at Champs Sports Nationals.
This fall, he's the top returning runner to the national race in December. Can Todd win a Foot Locker title, following in Kole Mathison, his fellow Indiana colleague's, place?
I guess we'll see about that. What may helped Todd last year was his schedule. He ran 12 times, winning just twice, but all that race frequency gave him confidence toward the end of the season and led to a third-place finish at states, a fourth-place finish at Champs Sports Midwest and a sixth-place bid at Champs Sports Nationals.
More will be expected of Todd this fall. His Brebeuf Jesuit teammates will count on him to win races up front. But if Todd can handle the pressure, there's a possible reward at the end of the tunnel: A possible national title.
