No. 13: Seth Norder
- - -
School: Grand Haven High School (MI)
Year: 2024
2022 Notable Finishes: 16th at Champs Sports Nationals in 15:27.50; 9th at Champs Sports Midwest in 15:18.00; 2nd at MHSAA LP Division I finals in 15:18.95; 3rd at Portage XC Invite in 14:45.40; 2nd at MSU Spartan Invitational in 14:58.71.
Analysis: Norder racked up six wins in 11 races last year, culminating his season with a 16th-place finish at Champs Sports Nationals in 15:27.50.
What was most impressive about his 2022 season, though, was his consistency. Norder stepped up when the moment called of it, as he finished second at the MSU Spartan Invite in September in 14:58.71 and then was third at the Portage XC Invite in 14:45.40, which was a career best time for 5K.
Norder went on to finish second at the Michigan Division I Championships in 15:18.95 before qualifying for nationals with his ninth-place finish at regions.
In 2023, the Michiganer is looking to be one of the best runners in the state, and maybe a little more than that, too.
