Eddiyah Frye, our Week 6 National Girls Performer of the Week winner, was nearly flawless in her hurdles victory at The VA Showcase last week.

In the 55mH, Frye won the title in a new personal best of 7.81 seconds to become the fastest girl in the nation at the distance.

In the finals, the UNC commit faced stiff competition from around the country such as Lucheyona Weaver of Dunbar (FL) and Zariyah Black of Eastern Guilford (NC). But Frye blasted out of the blocks and was the first sprinter to clear the first hurdle. From there, no one in the field was able to catch her.

Her race ties for the top 40 performance on the national high school all-time list in this event.

After a stellar weekend, Frye earned a total of 317 tallies, which led to over 56-percent of the votes. Congratulations Frye on a strong 55mH race at the VA Showcase.

Now it's time to vote for this week's poll.
