Breakdown: The mark for a great high school 200m runner is under 21 seconds. Lewis was on the cusp in 2018, hitting 21.02 seconds at the AAU Junior Olympics. He followed in January with a best of 21.15 at the Arkansas High School Invitational and then split 21.73 in the prelims at New Balance Nationals Indoor.
Here, Lewis will have to put it all together. What could help, though will be the matchup between Parkland (NC) senior Savien Hayes, who scored an all conditions best of 21.24 seconds in March.
If Hayes and Lewis net a great battle, there's a chance they could pull each other for big PRs.
