Event: 1-Mile, 3200m
Breakdown: Alder, just a sophomore, is arguably the top girls distance runner at this meet. Over the fall she won a Class 4A cross country state title in North Carolina, then went on to run 10:29.18 for 3200m in the Hoka One One Postal Nationals series. That same season, she ran a top time of 17:28.00 for 5K at Great American.
After a successful indoor season that saw her post a 4:58.82 effort in the 1600m and a 10:29.18 in the 3200m, she's opened with major PRs across the board in the 800m (2:18.20), 1600m (4:52.14) and the 1-mile (4:53.84).
Alder has good potential to break 4:50 in the mile and most likely will crack 10:30 again.
