Girls 200m Championship

Entries: 46

2018 Winner: Tamari Davis, Gainesville, Florida, 23.46 seconds

Armory Record: Sanya Richards, St. Thomas Aquinas, Florida, 23.22 seconds

National Record: Bianca Knight, Ridgeland, Mississippi, 22.97 seconds

Threats To Win: Moforehan Abinusawa, Kori Carter, Serena Clark, Thelma Davies, Kayla Davis, Tamari Davis, Talitha Diggs, Jazmyne Frost, Sanaa Hebron, Semira Killebrew, Alexa Rossum, Hannah Waller, Aliya Wilson

Analysis: Watch out for an all-time performance from Tamari Davis, who currently owns a US No. 1 of 23.41 seconds. She ran the seventh fastest 200m of all-time at NBNI in 2018, and it was one of two wins for the Gainesville, Florida native. This time around, Davis will have even more competition. She'll face No. 2 Davies, No. 4 Kayla Davis, No. 7 Rossum, No. 8 Killebrew, No. 9 Clark and No. 15 Diggs.

If you've ever seen Tamari race you know she loves to rise up to a big moment, so potentially that's all it will take here for her to perform at her best. No girl has broken 23 seconds indoors since Bianca Knight in 2007. While that seems like a low likelihood here, there's s small chance Tamari does something truly special.
