COROS Distance Athletes Of The Week (June 2-81)

The 30th sub-fourth in high school history and a girls' sophomore class record in the 800m were two of the biggest storylines of the weekend, as June's second weekend of competition was one for the record books.

Iowa juggernaut Quentin Nauman, a junior out of Western Dubuque, and Union Catholic Reg. (N.J.) superstar Paige Sheppard stole the show last weekend.

The junior superstar hasn't slowed down in the slightest this season, this time breaking the tape at the HOKA Festival of Miles, becoming the 30th high schooler to ever run under 4:00. The field came through three laps at 3:03, but a blistering 54.7 final lap was more than enough for Nauman to take the win and snatch the junior class record. Nauman crossed in 3:58.65, besting Connor Burns' previous mark of 3:58.83.
