In his 1600m debut this season, the Stanford commit took the top spot on the national leaderboard, becoming the first boy this season to do so.

On his future home track, Noonan ran 4:04.88, holding off a field that saw four other boys break 4:10. The senior's PB is a brisk 4:04.2, which he didn't run until the first week of May last year, meaning he could shave a good amount of time off if he's already this fit in early April.

Sitting No. 12 on California's all-time list, Noonan is the 17th boy in state history to run sub-4:05, and has now done it for

Before she dons the navy and gold this fall at Notre Dame, Huyler has some business to take care of on the track.

In her first race in nearly a month, Huyler won the Mile at the Oregon Relays, stopping the clock at 4:46.70, two seconds shy of her outdoor PB. Over the course of four laps, Huyler established a four-second lead by the time she crossed the finish line, as seven girls weren't far behind her, all running under 5:00.

The defending 6A state champion in the 3000m could see herself with a pair of titles if she chooses add the 1500m to her postseason plans.
