2022 Notable Finishes: Second at UIL Cross Country Championships; Fifth at NXR South Regional Championships; 18th at Champs South Regional; 11th at NXN.
Analysis: It was a stellar junior season for Samantha in cross country. She finished third at Marcus T, fourth at Nike South and then won her District 6A-6 race in October. That would lead to the state championships, where she went 1-2 with her twin, Nicole.
Samantha then finished fifth at the NXR South Regional, qualifying for NXN, and followed with an All-American performance there in 11th.
Outdoors, she was the runner-up at the UIL Outdoor State Championships in the 1,600m and 3,200m. Humphries also clocked a time of 4:41 in the mile for a U.S. No. 13 performance. Humphries also ran a lifetime best of 10:12 in the 3,200m.
