The Secure Storage Summit Invitational

It wasn't a typical girls race.

To her left, Mia Brahe-Pedersen was racing against a high school boy in Lane 4. To her right, another male athlete in Lane 7.

But on Saturday at the Secure Storage Invitational at Summit High School, there was no debating this: The Lake Oswego (OR) junior ran 11.08 (+0.1) seconds in the 100m, securing a wind-legal time and bettering her former best of 11.25, which she ran last year at the USATF U20 Championships.

Brahe-Pedersen had her first legal 100m time under 11.10. She had previously ran 11.09w in 2022 and 11.07w just a few weeks back a the Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays.

But now the Oregon star is taking massive steps toward a sub-11 performance over the current season.
