Seton Hall Prep Defies Expectations, Finishes Second In 4x4

Sometimes a headline doesn't always reflect a reality.

And that was certainly the case on Saturday with the Championship of American boys 4x400 final.

Bullis School had entered as the top seed, and featured a phenom in freshman Quincy Wilson. But after struggling with the first leg, the Maryland program had too much time to make up and finished in sixth, opening the door for Seton Hall Prep, which tantalized those in attendance by nearly winning the race.

The New Jersey program, which had won an indoor national title in the 4x400, finished second overall in 3:16.06, less than a second behind winner Kingston college, which won in 3:15.62.

Calabar was third in 3:16.54 and Edwin Allen was fourth in 3:17.08.
