PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The first race on Friday at the Penn Relays featured a potential national high school record hopeful.
The Union Catholic (NJ) girls clocked the day's fastest 4x800 prelim in 9:11.26, behind efforts from Maameyaa Nyinah, Jimmiea King, Kaleigh Gunsiorowski and Peyton Hollis, and will now head into the Championship of America final on Saturday with more to prove -- including a school, state and potential national record faster than the current mark of 8:43.
