No. 4: Arapahoe (CO)

- - -

Analysis: The Warriors are the returning Colorado Class 5A Champions and winners of the Liberty Bell Invitational. The girls team also was second at the Pat Amato Invitational and third at the Garmin RunningLane XC Championships.

Emily Lamontagne, the team's star senior, is a returning All-American with a PR of 16:53.85, while Ava Mitchell and Ava Escorcia have also produced 5K times under 17:30.

Biggest Question: The battle of Colorado will be ongoing in 2022.

With the likes of Niwot, Valor Christian, Cherry Creek and Mountain Vista all in the state -- though Niwot is in Class 4A -- the distinction of being the state's top team will be earned through hard-earned wins.

Schedule

Regional Championships, October

Liberty Bell Invitational, September

Regional Championships, October

State Championships, October

Regionals, November

X Factor: Pack running.

Particularly at the Class 5A Championships in November, this strategy will make a major difference.
