SEVERNA PARK GETS THE JOB DONE AT PTXC 12.2

Evaluating teams in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions is always a tall order.

With differing program styles and levels of racing, sometimes teams come out of nowhere; sometimes, it's exactly the team you expect to have success.

By now, after a handful of years proving itself and building a strong foundation for future success, there's no reason for doubt with the Severna Park (MD) boys.

Year after year, the Maryland program brings it.

And on Saturday at PTXC 12.2 at Kutztown University, the Maryland-based school secured the boys gold race win, using strong performances from senior James Glebocki (15:52.1) and others to net a dominating win.

No team was really all that close, in fact.

The Falcons dispatched the entire field by 69 points, compiling the only team score under 100 points on the day. The Falcons scored 57.

Putting all five in the top 25 is one thing. But the speed ratings were also pretty impressive, from Glebocki's 180, to the fifth-man's 157. Severna Park also had a spread of just 68 seconds.

The girls race saw only one athlete under 19 minutes. Governor Mifflin's Kaitlyn Highduch won the overall title in 18:54.4.
