The Scoop: Athletes Are Off To A Flying Start In 2021

The Queens Of New York Are Back

It wasn't the grandest of entrances.

In fact, it was as subtle as a debut you could find.

But when the reigning Team Nationals champions from 2019 make their return to the cross country course, you notice.

And it's worth mentioning just what the Saratoga Springs (NY) girls accomplished this weekend at the Voorhees Blackbird Invitational at New Scotland Park in New York.

The Blue Streaks went a perfect 15, scoring their first five across the line in ensuing order: senior Ella Kurto, sophomore Emily Bush, junior Sheridan Wheeler, junior McKinley Wheeler and sophomore Anya Belisle

Kurto produced the top overall time in 18:51.60, and a speed rating of 128 via TullyRunner. The program went 128-127-124-114-104.

Again, just an opener.

And when the champions return, you can't help but notice.
