Despite the outcome, most athletes would take that result. Because what separates any athlete from his or her last performance is the adjustment made for the next one.
Just a junior, Robinson showed his potential in grandiose fashion over the weekend. His preliminary performance of 6.31 -- while the nation's lead for a fleeting 24 hours -- was just a taste.
His next race was a consistent development. Perhaps we'll have to see just where he goes from here.
Robinsion's current 60m PR of 6.84 stands at US No. 10, but he has yet to break 22 seconds in the 200m or 50 seconds in the 400m. His next points of improvement are right there in front of him.
