Aaron Olswanger - Boise Senior (ID)
Although the Boise Braves only participated in six meets this season, it's clear that Coach Olswanger had them ready to run well in 2020. If we would have had a normal season, this team would have been viewing for an opportunity to race in Portland at team nationals.
The team's best performance came at the state meet when the girls scored 18 points to win the Class Idaho Class 5A state championship meet. The Braves had a 1:13 compression and 18:28 team average. All five of its scorer placed in the top 10 overall.
Boise Senior was led by freshman Sammy Smith, who won in 17:45.34, followed by senior Rosina Machu (18:17.83) in second and freshman Allie Bruce in third (18:22.46). The team will only be graduating Machu in 2020, so you can continue to look for Boise Senior as a strong team for years to come.
