Ethan Dusto - Cherry Creek (CO)

The Cherry Creek ladies under Coach Dusto had a remarkable season, winning some of the biggest meets and matchups that could take place in 2020. They won those matchups by also beating some of the other top-ranked teams in the nation.

Starting with the Colorado State Class 5A Cross Country Championships, the girls were able to earn a decisive win over Arapahoe (CO) and Valor Christian (CO), scoring just 42 points and posting an 18:30 average.

Riley Stewart won the individual title for the Bruins. The team's season didn't stop at state, though, and they continued on to beat nationally ranked teams from across the country at both the XC Town USA Meet of Champions as well as the AAU National Cross Country Championships.

The XC Town USA Meet of Champs was where the Bruins faced the most competition, going up against ranked teams such as Valor Christian (CO), Naperville North (IL), Loudoun Valley (VA), Carmel (IN), Wayzata (MN) and Great Oak (CA). The team won that matchup by scoring 90 points, and ran with a team average of 18:28.
