* Anna Fenske was second overall at the Roy Griak Invitational in 2019

Anna Fenske, Farmington (MN)

Fenske was part of a dominating girls pack over a stretch in 2017-2018 that absolutely blistered Minnesota cross country courses with fast times -- a group that included Grace Ping, Emily Covert and Tierney Wolfgram.

But after Covert graduated, Wolfgram went off to college early and Ping moved to Arizona, it left Fenske finishing out her final season on her own.

And in her last year, she did just that, winning seven races, finishing third at the unofficial state championships and then placing 17th at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions -- a quasi-replacement for Team Nationals.

That closed off a career that saw Fenske win 25 races overall, qualify for six state championships and win one and earn two All-American performances at Team Nationals.

A cross country competitor since the seventh-grade in 2015, Fenske has grown immensely within the sport and leaves at least as one of Minnesota's best 10 female runners of all-time.
