* Rauber after her second-place finish at the AAU National Championships

- - -

Brooke Rauber, Tully (NY)

Consider that Rauber's been able to compete at the high school level for the past six years.

And she has not slowed down one bit. In fact, her performances have only gotten more impressive as time has worn on. Over her career, she won 32 races, four New York state titles -- not including this year, since it was canceled -- and was among New York's top athletes every year -- remember, this state also produced Katelyn Tuohy, Kelsey Chmiel and Claire Walters.

On top of all of that, in March of this year Rauber won the Pan American U20 Cross Country Championships in Canada, winning the 6K race in 23:12.

While the NC State signee never won an individual national title over her high school careeer, she was darn near close and always was in the hunt. She finished sixth, sixth and seventh over her last three Team Nationals appearances. She finished her senior season with two straight sub-17 performances.
