Breakdown: Martin has already showed signs that ... this is his year.
He broke 50 seconds in the 400m for the first time in his career outdoors at the FSU Relays, posting a third-place finish in 48.65 seconds. But that followed a big pattern for Martin, who had four straight performances of 49-seconds in the 400m over the indoor season.
Martin, who has yet to win a state title in Alabama, has a chance to show his progress yet again. He's gone 10.98 for 100m, 22.26 for 200m and holds a secondary time of 49.84 for 400m this season.
