14 Matchups At New Balance Nationals Indoor We're Here For

Boys: 60m - 200m - 400m - 800m - Mile - 2-Mile - 60mH

Girls: 60m - 200m - 400m - 800m - Mile - 2-Mile - 60mH

Boys 60 Meter Championship: Lance Lang vs. Marcellus Moore vs. Micah Williams

Contenders: Bryan SantosLangston Jackson, Nick Cross

Why:

Is this much of a question?

The nation's No. 1 (Lang), No. 2 (Williams) and No. 3 (Moore) sprinters are all scheduled to compete in the event -- while we're at it, No. 4 (Jackson), No. 5 (Santos) and No. 7 (Cross) are also entered.

Williams will be a bit of a mystery since he hasn't faced any of these athletes, but Lang and Moore went head-to-head at the UK High School Invitational on Feb. 16.

Moore got beat straight up. Lang's race tied him with the fourth fastest high school 60m time ever recorded.

Assuming everyone makes the finals here -- fingers cross, no false starts -- we're going to have a heck of a final between a handful of studs.

Girls 60 Meter Championship: Tamari Davis vs. Thelma Davies

Contenders: Moforehan Abinusawa, Jazmyne Frost, Semira Killebrew, Alexa Rossum, Aliya Wilson

Why:

Guess what?

Tamari went head-to-head against Thelma a year ago in the finals of this race and came away with the sixth fastest 60m race of all-time (7.25).

Can she do it again?

Tamari 2.0.

She's definitely the race favorite, as she's ranked No. 1 (7.27) entering the competition. But the Florida star would be wise to put some respect on Thelma, who enters with the No. 2 (7.31) effort this season.

Beyond those two, the No. 3 (Abinusawa), No. 4 (Killebrew), No. 5 (Rossum) and No. 6 (Wilson) athletes are all entered.

All due respect to those athletes, but this is Tamari's race to lose.

Unfortunately, any number of small mistakes could cost her a win -- and that's just enough room for any of these girls to capture a national title.
