The best race of the day came from the girls Class C race, and it was a duel between Greely HS teammates. Junior Katherine Leggat pulled away from her freshman teammate to cross first in 19:11. Carolyn Todd would cross eight seconds behind, running 19:18. While the Greely girls finished second to Yarmouth, the Leggat/Todd duo posted the two fastest times overall.
Only one athlete at the Maine State Meet was able to break 16:30, and that was Osman Doorow. The Lewiston senior continues his 2015 hot streak and remains undefeated.
