-- Mike Whaley (@mwhaley25) October 31, 2015Senior Maegan Doody came back to defend her 2014 State Championship. In the D2 race she went head to head with NH 5k #1 Elisabeth Danis. In previous match ups, Doody has proven to be better, and showed to have an extra gear again at the 2015 XC Champs. Doody ran 18:06 to become a 2x XC State Champion, and also post the fastest overall time of the day.
Liam Kimball entered the state meet holding the fastest 5k (15:22) in New Hampshire so far in 2015. Kimball was the 2014 defending champion, and he had an all out war with 2013 D1 Champion Nick Sevilla. Kimball would come out on top in 15:52.0 over Sevilla in 15:52.8. Both of these athletes nearly got picked off for the fastest time of the day by D2 state champ Cameron Daly, who ran 15:52.20.
