Not sure we learned much from the Colorado State Champs, but confirmed the ability of the elite talent in that state. Katie Rainsberger blew out the 4A competition, running 17:39 to lead her Air Academy squad to the team title. In the 5A girls race, junior Lauren Gregory won a tight duel with Brie Oakley 18:15-18:17. There's no clear dominate team on the girls side. In the merged team scores Air Academy still came out on top over 5A champs Bloomfield by a small margin.

Paul Roberts is ranked Top-10 in the nation and easily proved he is by far the best runner in Colorado right now. Running in the 2A division, he ran the fastest overall time on the day by nearly twenty seconds. Will be looking forward to what we can see out of the Lyons HS senior when he gets in a race with athletes that will push him. The Mountain Vista boys won their 4th straight state title. Easily winning the 5A race by 60 points and also holding onto a 60 point margin in the overall team merge.
