After running a new U.S. No. 1 in the 2K steeplechase -- and earning the No. 25 spot on the all-time list -- Staucie Lees, a Conroe Grand Oaks (TX) senior, came out on top as this week's National Performer Of The Week.

Winners of our NPOTW program will receive a Firefly Recovery starter kit from our presenting sponsor. For athletes interested in Firefly Recovery, you can also use promo code MILESPLIT to receive 15-percent off any Firefly Recovery Starter kit purchase.

The Texas A&M recruit was able to cover the distance in 6:43.60 at the Sam Mosley Relays on February 24. She also ran a U.S. top 20 mark in the 1,600m, clocking a time of 4:56.80.

For her effort, she garnered 45-percent of the voting during Week 7 of the National Performer of the Week presented by Firefly poll.

With a weekend filled with fast-times and records being broken, we have five new deserving nominees on this weeks poll. Let's just say Texas dominated the national rankings this past weekend.

Just like last week, voting will close on Friday at 12:00 p.m. Winners of our NPOTW program will receive a Firefly Recovery starter kit from our presenting sponsor.
