The CYUP Misfits Invitational presented by HOKA showcased a few of the nation's top marks.

In one of the most anticipated races of the meet, the girls mile consisted of many standout performers.

Three of the top athletes from Foot Locker Nationals faced each other once again after six weeks of rest and training.

Samantha Humphries of Flower Mound (TX), Jessica Jazwinski of Hart (MI) and Abby Faith Cheeseman of The Webb School (TN) finished eighth, ninth and 13th in San Diego respectively.

This weekend didn't disappoint.

The last 400m featured a closing surge as Humphries, Jazwinski and Cheeseman separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

Humphries had more left in the tank, though, as she clocked 4:50.89 in her season debut; the Oregon recruit was just off Tatum David's meet record of 4:50.14.

In her third indoor race of the year, Jazwinski finished with a 4:51.69 and Cheeseman was third in 4:52.52.

Elin Latta was the fourth girl to break five minutes in this event as she went 4:57.16.

* Adam Burlison wins the two mile in 8:55.33

In another show-stopping race, the boys two mile featured Oregon commit Adam Burlison. Just weeks after putting down a 4:09 indoor mile, Burlison easily cruised to the victory in 8:55.33, finishing 10 seconds ahead of Gavin Genisio of Benton (IL), who was second in 9:05.01.

Plainfield South's (IL) Dylan Maloney was third in 9:14.01.

In the girls 600m, sophomore Charlize-Trinity McKenzie of Cedarburg (WI) ran the fastest time in the nation with a 1:31.65.

Other notable performances from the meet came from the boys mile as TJ Hansen won the title in 4:10.79. In the sprints. Olivia Pace, the USC recruit, grabbed the 60m and 300m titles in 7.42 and 39.65.
