Running her first sub-17 5K last Saturday, Orono's Ruth White collected this week's National Performer of the Week win.

At the Maine XC Festival of Champions in Belfast, not only did White pump out a personal best of 16:56.92 for a third consecutive meet win, but she also broke her own previous course record by nearly 30 seconds.

She was the only girl to dip under 17-minutes, with a leading finish of almost 20 seconds. During the week, White earned 68-percent of the votes and was named this week's National Performer of the Week.

It's time to vote for this week's NPOTW. The poll will end on Friday and the winner will be announced next Monday.
