POLL: National Girls Indoor Performer of the Week (Feb. 2-8)

This Week's Nominees:

Noah Strohman, Holliday (Texas): After heading up to Washington a week ago for a quick mile, Strohman made the trip to Columbia, Missouri, for the Mizzou HS Distance & Sprint Elite meet, where he took home the win in the 3200m. Leading eight competitors under 9:10, Strohman was the lone athlete under 9:00, clocking 8:56.33, his first time under the coveted barrier. He's the first Texan to run sub-9:00 indoors, and the 50th to do it in any season in state history.

Peyton Trammer, Belleville (Mich.): It was a double gold type of day for Trammer at the SPIRE Scholastic Showcase Meet, where he won the 60m and 200m in 6.73 and 21.51, respectively. His win in the shorter sprint was dominant, finishing .15 seconds ahead of the field, after running 6.80 in the prelims. His sub-22 effort in the 200m marked a lifetime best, good enough for the ninth-fastest time in Michigan indoor history and the fastest since 2023.

Elijah Harris, Westerville Central (Ohio): At the Ohio State High School Qualifier #4, Harris won both the high jump and triple jump, extending his win streak in the latter to six in a row. Clearing 7-0 for the first time this indoor season, Harris jumped 7-1, which was a new PB. After jumping 51-1.5 in the triple at the beginning of the year, the senior surpassed the 50-foot mark for the fifth straight meet. He joins Olympic Gold medalist Erik Kynard as one of only two Ohioans to clear 7-0 indoors, and is already the No. 1 indoor triple jumper in state history.

Jay'Vier Kerr, Glenville (Ohio): A busy week for Kerr saw him compete in the 60mH and 200m at the NEOITC Series Green Division #3 meet, and the 400m at the SPIRE Scholastic Showcase Meet. Throwing down times of 8.30 (PB), 21.77 (SB), and 47.69 (SB), Kerr was bumped up to No. 3 and No. 1 in the state in the 200m and 400m. On the all-time list, the senior ranks No. 5 over 400m in state history.

Amir Duff, The St. James Academy (Va.): In his second meet of the season, one of the top juniors in the state notched indoor PBs in both the 200m and 400m, running 21.94 and 47.94. Duff finished runner-up and first at the YSU High School Meet #3, finishing towards the front of a St. James Academy contingent in each event. In a state that has produced some of the best sprinters in high school history, Duff is already the fifth-fastest junior in Virginia history.
