Mia Hoffmann, the 3rd place finisher in both the MSHSL State Cross Country Championships 5K last fall and the MSHSL State Outdoors 3,200m this past June, collected this week's NPOTW.

Hoffmann, a Bemidji Senior, was the only girl to perform under 18-minutes for the 5K at Moorhead Dragon Twilight in Minnesota last weekend. Running a personal best of 17:27 with an 82-second lead, she earned a 137 speed rating.

During the week, Hoffmann earned 29-percent of the votes and was named this week's National Girls Performer Of The Week.

It's time to vote for this week's NPOTW. The poll will end on Friday and the winner will be announced next Monday.

Here are the nominations for the National Girls Performer Of The Week:

Jane Hedengren, Timpview (UT): At Woodbridge this weekend, the junior collected a speed rating of 157 for her 15:32.50 run, cementing herself as the fastest girl to run three miles in high school cross country history.

Elizabeth Leachman, Boerne Champion (TX):  Collecting a close second-place finish at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, Leachman earned a 157 speed rating and a career best three mile time of 15:32.60.

Madison Peters, Pearland (TX): Just before the 2K split, Peters pushed to the front and created a 100m distance lead that she maintained until her 17:43 finish, 10 seconds faster than her run at the Texas A&M Invitational last year.

Sadie Engelhardt, Ventura (CA): For her opening meet, this junior took third at Woodbridge, running a personal best of 15:37 for the three-mile distance.

Addison Moore, Woodford County (KY): At the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational, this sophomore was one of four girls to perform a sub-18-minute 5K, which led to her 17:20 first-place win, 58 seconds faster than her sixth-place bid last year.
