It was a surprisingly efficient day for Olympus on Saturday at the Bob Firman Invitational.

The high school from Holladay, Utah, featured two individual winners over the elite races, with senior JoJo Jourdon and freshman Adria Favero both clinching wins in different ways.

For Jourdon, the nationally-ranked runner who finished fourth at the Timpanogos Invitational on Sept. 1, he outkicked Woodbridge XC Classic champ Evan Noonan by seven-tenths of a second to win in 14:55.00.

Favero, meanwhile, clocked a winning time of 17:50.80, surging past Boise Senior sophomore Audrey Orme, who was second in 17:57.90.

Jourdon's win may have opened up the door toward something bigger down the season. Not only did he beat Noonan, but he also downed MileSplit No. 2 Landon Heemeyer, who was fourth overall in 15:12.90.

Orem's Austin Westfall was third in 15:00.90, while his squad finished second behind Herriman in the team standings.
