Deer Creek Boys Claim Another Big win At Oklahoma Jamboree

The wins continue to pile on for the Deer Creek (OK) boys.
On Saturday, the Antlers from Edmond pocketed their fourth straight win, beating teams from Texas, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma in the high school championship section at the Cowboy Jamboree, netting a total score of 79 points.
That winning margin was pretty tight, just 11 points out from second-place Lucas Lovejoy, which scored 90.

The boys from Oklahoma, which last won a state title in 2021, were led by Graham Mitchell, who finished third in 15:53.60. The Antlers went 3-6-15-29-36 to outpace the Texas squad, which went 9-10-24-28-30.
Micah Blomker, who entered with two wins over his first three races, claimed his third win with a time of 15:41.50.
LOVEJOY GIRLS CRUISE

The girls race, meanwhile, was less speculative, as Lucas Lovejoy rolled past the competition with 33 points, including the team's top five in the top 11 places -- and six inside the top 13 finishes.
That performance wasn't too surprising, either. The Lovejoy girls opened up the preseason positioned at No. 16 in the MileSplit rankings.
Another Texan ultimately won the individual title.
That honor went to Pearland's Madison Peters, who clocked a winning time of 18:31.20 as she broke away from second-place Sara Morefield, who followed in 18:46.50.
