Our Top Five Memorable Moments From The UIL Championships

* Lauren Lewis, the Texas commit, wins the 6A title in the 400m with a 51.45

Lauren Lewis of Prosper (TX), the defending 400 meter champion, continued her undefeated season in tact from lane seven.

The Texas Longhorn commit left everyone speechless and on their feet on Saturday.

The fans inside her future home track knew she was going to drop a wild time as she made up the stagger on both runners to her outside within the first 100m. She continued to be in her fast-paced rhythm by coming through the first half of her race in roughly 24 low.

As a result, she lowered her U.S. No. 1 performance for the third time this year from 51.83 to a new personal best of 51.45.

Her solo effort destroyed the class and UIL state meet record, while she proceeded to move up the all-time list. Her best equaled the seventh-fastest time in high school history. She's just less than a second off Sanya Richards-Ross' national high school record of 50.69.

Lewis also sprinted to the 200m title in 23.43 later in the day.
