Tennessee has been hot on the recruiting path since the hiring of Duane Ross and Sean Carlos. So far, the Volunteers have signed some of the top athletes in the country.

At the Christian Coleman Invitational last March, Yahnari Lyons had one of the best performances of any high schooler during the outdoor season.

That day in Atlanta, the Jonesboro (GA) High School junior won the 100 meter in 11.40 seconds and the 200m in 22.99 seconds. Both were new personal bests.

Lyons only ran in two more meets the rest of the season and none past April 19.

Still, those times held up as the sixth- and second-fastest outdoor times in the U.S. and made her one of the nation's most coveted recruits.

Lyons now knows where she will be going to college, as she signed last week with the University of Tennessee, adding to the Volunteers' elite class.
