Analysis: While Bishop Hendricken returns just three athletes from last year's RIIL state championship team, it's an important three: No. 1, 3 and 5. All that's needed now is gap-filling, which, when you're considering a program like the Hawks, they've been able to do over time. We trust the program's ability to find the right pieces and compete.
With senior Troy Silvestri leading the way -- he was seventh at state and 16th at New Englands -- and Keegan Tierney providing cover as the second senior in the top two, this team has capable leaders up front. Andrew Frezza, Will Olsen and Brayton Gazerro have potential, too, and if this threesome can hit their marks as the season progresses, this storied squad will find a way continue their winning ways.
Biggest Question: Can Bishop Hendricken find depth to compete outside Rhode Island?
This question can be tossed at any number of teams, even those who are returning members of their squads who were once 5s, 6s and 7s. But Hendricken will return three out of its top scoring five, which we feel will strengthen their early performances. Historically, Hendricken has been among the top teams in Rhode Island, so we don't doubt their ability to re-stock their talent pool.
