Stanford Invitational Shows Nothern California's Depth


The Stanford Invitational showed off some of the top teams in Northern California. It featured a head-to-head matchup between MileSplit No. 16-ranked Claremont High (CA) and MileSplit50 No. 6-ranked St. Francis Mountain View (CA). The guys from Claremont got the upset win scoring 76 points; they had a 33-second 1-5 split and a 15:41 average. St. Francis Mountain View ended up finishing third behind La Costa Canyon (CA). La Costa Canyon was led by Jacob Stanford and Caleb Niednagel who went one-two in 15:10.90 and 15:14.90. 

The MileSplit50 No. 6-ranked Claremont High (CA) girls team came away with the win in the girls seeded race scoring 39 points. The team had a 59-second 1-5 split and a 17:58 team average.
