The Scoop: Powerhouse Relay Programs Revving Up and Don't Sleep On This Junior

1. East Orange Is Out To Prove Its A Powerhouse In The 4x400

There's no doubt the East Orange Campus (NJ) High boys 4x400 team has a winning formula.

A year ago, the Jaguars were anchored by a national talent in Cory Poole, and the program won two consecutive national title in the 4x400 indoors and outdoors as a result -- not to mention two other titles in the shuttle hurdle relays.

During that indoor 2017 season, the squad ran 3:16.09 to scored the 12th best 4x400 time indoors all-time.

But Saturday's effort at the Dr. Sander Invitational was a great indication in proving just why this team is more than just any one runner.

The squad posted a winning time of 3:16.60 -- that squad likely included seniors Akeem Lindo, Immyouri Etienne and Ibrahim Fobay

There's no doubt the squad is out to cut even more time from their best from 2017.

If in fact the Jaguars can cut at least .60 seconds from their relay, they would enter into the top 10 indoor 4x400s of all-time. Two schools in New Jersey, Union Catholic and Camden, even have the No. 8 and No. 10 performances.

Stay tuned for more East Orange success.
