2. Loudoun Valley Continues To Dominate In Team Relays
Loudoun Valley (VA) High's boys continue to impress at any distance.
The Vikings earned another US No. 1 effort on Saturday at the Dr. Sander Invitational, posting a winning time of 7:45.70 in the 4x800. It was their second US No. 1 effort this indoor season, coupled with the DMR's top time from The VA Showcase.
Not only that, but senior Colton Bogucki and junior Sam Affolder both nabbed efforts under 2:30 in the 1K, with Bogucki finishing second in 2:29.10 and Affolder rounding into fifth in 2:29.48.
The squad is dangerous at nearly every event from the 800m on, with an array of talent that can be entered, switched or paired together to create solid relays.
But Loudoun Valley's goals still remain pretty high.
At New Balance Nationals Indoor, the Vikings are looking to go after the boys DMR record of 9:546.18 last broken by Carlisle (PA) High last season.
