Bolles' Headliner Back In Action
- - -
Charles Hicks is starting to roll.
The Jacksonville Bolles (FL) School senior and ninth-place finisher at NXN in 2017 was back to the grind on Saturday at the Bale-n-Trail Cross Country Original at Bartram Trail, easily taking the win in 15:55.17.
Last year at this time, Hicks was challenged to the line by virtue of a strong effort from Trinity Christian School's (GA) Jacob McLeod.
Not this time.
The senior, ranked No. 6 on the MileSplit, rolled to the win by over 30 seconds. Bolles is currently ranked No. 13 in the team rankings.
Bolles finished ninth overall as a team, though it looks as though the squad did not run its full lineup. The program was missing two of the team's key runners in Chase Rivera and Alexander Hastings.
