The Illini Are Charging Forward

Two big-time Illini were back in action this week.
Maine South (IL) High School's Tommy Brady ran well a week after a gritty finish at The First To Finish Invitational last weekend due to the flu.
Brady, who's ranked No.17 on the MileSplit50, won the Minooka Flighted Invitational in 14:54.00 for 3-miles, which also led his team to the win with 95 points.
It was the second straight year Brady won the meet, though as a senior he improved by nine seconds over his finishing time of 15:03.00 in 2017.
Meanwhile, No. 25 Rory Cavan added another win to his resume at the Kaneland Eddington Invitational with a time of 15:31.80.
He led the Glenbard West (IL) High School boys to a 32-point win and a 1-3 sweep of the 3-mile course.
