The race for the nation's top performance is on, and this weekend played center stage to a handful of great efforts on cross country courses across the country.
Before we get to this week's National Performer of the Week nominees, let's look back on who took top honors a week ago.
That recognition goes out to Carmel (IN) High School junior Phoebe Bates, who won our weekly award after winning the Marion Invitational last week in season best 17:39.30. Bates grabbed just over 50-percent of the votes, beating out a tough charge from Great Oak's Arianna Griffiths.
Many congratulations, Phoebe!
Now on to this week's candidates. Who do you think had the top performance nationally? Vote in the poll below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Check back Friday to find out the winner. We'll publish National Performer of the Week polls every Monday following the previous week's action.
- Week 1 Winner (Overall): Brynn Brown, Denton Guyer (TX)
- Week 2 Winner (Overall): Silas Winders, Henry Country (TN)
- Week 3 Winner: Phoebe Bates, Carmel (IN)
