Jayden Mims-Horton may have decided that Saturday was a perfect day to announce himself to the indoor track and field world.

The Philadelphia Imhotep Charter junior scorched the track for two wins at the Armory Hispanic Games, pocketing times of 21.44 in the 200m and 48.01 in the 400m.

The performances firmly place Mims-Horton inside the nation's top five times for each distance, while also improving dramatically on his previous-best times of 21.72 and 48.66.

Meanwhile, William Floyd's Zariel Macchia was busy executing across two races on the track, winning the mile in 4:49.10 and the 3K in 10:03.42.

Middletown's Isabelle Walsh won the 800m in 2:11.44, holding off Tatnall's Abby Downin, who followed in 2:13.03.

Warwick Valley's Lily Beattie cleared 13-2 in the pole vault.

Washington Township's Yashahya Brown, currently the nation's fastest at the 55 meter hurdles, went 7.24 in the 55mH, just off his No. 1 time of 7.13.
